Champion Pets This project has been fun and at times very trying. My first attempt at an eCommerce website. The aim was to hand over something that was super easy to use to my Auntie and her staff, something that worked fairly self sufficiently, and something that would expand the business, market-, client- and advertising-wise. The main thing I learned from this website: Never give a website as a Christmas present! HA!

No High Rise in Double Bay A group of people in Double Bay, in Sydney's Eastern suburbs, heard about a high-rise development happening in their local area, despite the limit on how many storeys buildings could be in that council jurisdiction. I got this work on recommendation, and it has been an excellent project. This was an excellent testing ground for a lot of the techniques I now use at work (for online conversation, comments etc). And even better, this community group managed to stop the high-rise development from going ahead.

Statecraft Not the most sophisticated website, but very good use of W3C standards and built to be indexed by Google in the most efficient way possible. I didn't do the Flash banner at the top (I actually think it's not that good), but otherwise, this is the second version I've done for them.

Liberals for Bradfield To date, the most planned and most web 2.0 website to come out of work. Xavier Minali was a consultant on this project, and he has been instrumental in making this website a success. He also introduced me to some excellent Joomla components. The other great thing is that Victoria had a by-election as well and we could compare our website to theirs. You be the judge. http://kellyodwyer.com.au

Millennium Forum Another work effort. This one mainly lists past and upcoming events being held by this fundraising arm of the Libs. Originally it was going to be just another brochure website, but I couldn't do it. Had to be web 2.0 in some way shape or form. Hopefully throughout 2010, we'll ramp up the member involvement in this website, get people talking about the events and add some new features. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the design.

SSHS Entitled 'Smarter Stronger Healthier Safer: Social Policy Framework'. This is one of the first websites I created through work that I have successfully been able to hand over to others to manage, and they did an excellent job with it. Includes integration with Flickr and also made a big shift away from the old "Download a PDF, fill it out and snail-mail it back to us" attitude, with online submissions that were easier to manage than their hard-copy cousins.

ASAP Insulation This website is sadly CLOSED DOWN due to discontinuation of the rebate for insulation.
This website is another new area of online campaigning for me. This website isn't terribly technical, but it's the Google Adwords campaign that goes with it that makes this website happen. Since it started (and it started quickly, as in built in a matter of days) it has increased the number of calls the client has been receiving n regards to installing insulation with the government rebate slightly. Hopefully this will turn into quite a few more. Google has been taking their sweet time trawling the website for a natural Google index (Jan '10).

Save Elizabeth Bay Another community activism website. Much like No High Rise, it's a place for people to find out who the community action group are, what their cause is, who they're up against and how they can help. Linked directly to MailChimp so no double handling email subscribers, which is great.
